Steve Wilson is a highly regarded Technical Director with over 30 years of expertise in geotechnical engineering, SuDS design, and contaminated land management. A Chartered Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist, Steve is recognized as a leading authority on sustainable drainage, having co-authored CIRIA’s SuDS Manual and numerous technical guidance documents for the industry. His expertise extends to the structural design of geocellular drainage systems, flood risk assessment, and litigation support as an expert witness in SuDS-related cases. Steve has played a pivotal role in shaping national and international drainage standards, contributing to ASTM, British Standards, and CIRIA working groups. His extensive experience includes advising developers, local authorities, and regulatory bodies on the integration of sustainable drainage solutions into urban and infrastructure projects. With a strong background in research and development, Steve continues to push the boundaries of best practice in water management and geotechnical engineering
Steve has also been a member of several project steering groups for CIRIA (SUSDRAIN website, CIRIA Report C625 Model agreements for sustainable water management systems and RP 697 SUDS updated guidance on technical design and construction) and HR Wallingford (Use of SUDS in high density developments) relating to sustainable drainage projects.
