For more than two decades Paul Michalski, P.G. has been assessing the vapor intrusion pathway at private sector, federal, and municipal project sites. He has led assessments that range from the massive with thousands of samples collected over a decade to the minor with a few vapor samples collected over a day to eliminate any doubt regarding the vapor intrusion pathway.
Paul has been at the forefront of research aimed at assessing the vapor intrusion pathway, measuring inhalation risks, and quantifying natural source zone depletion rates at petroleum release sites. This has included research with industry technical groups, university partners, as well as independent research including development of field methods, completion of bench-scale studies, and execution of multi-year field assessments.
Paul has directed many projects with significant public interest. In many cases, these projects have required engagement with multiple federal and state regulatory agencies, as well as navigation through class action lawsuits.
